Levocell is seeking a driven and experienced Sales Director to lead the sales of our large-scale battery solutions. This role is integral in expanding Levocell’s presence in the market and will be responsible for developing strategic sales plans, building key client relationships, and driving revenue growth in the commercial and industrial sectors. Based in London and reporting directly to the COO, the Sales Director will have a proven track record of sales growth and in-depth knowledge of Energy Storage Systems and will play a pivotal role in achieving sales targets and positioning Levocell as a leader in the energy storage industry.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Development and Execution

  • Develop and implement a robust sales strategy focused on large-scale battery solutions

  • Identify and target high-potential markets and segments, working closely with the COO to align goals and optimise strategies

  • Analyse industry trends and competitive landscape to refine sales strategies and ensure Levocell’s positioning as an industry leader

Revenue Generation and Business Development

  • Drive sales growth by meeting or exceeding revenue targets through effective prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management

  • Cultivate relationships with key accounts, building long-term partnerships with clients

  • Develop tailored proposals and presentations to address client needs, demonstrating the value of Levocell’s battery solutions for energy storage and cost optimisation

Team building and collaboration

  • Develop a hiring plan and recruit a talented sales team with expertise in the energy storage and industrial solutions sectors

  • Coach, mentor, and lead the team, setting clear targets, KPIs, and performance standards while fostering a results-driven, collaborative sales culture

  • Implement best practices in sales methodologies, account management, and CRM utilisation to support team success and streamline sales operations

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Product Development, and Engineering, to ensure customer needs are effectively met and sales goals are aligned across functions

  • Coordinate with the COO on strategic sales initiatives and report regularly on sales performance, market challenges, and emerging opportunities

Sales Forecasting and Reporting

  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports

  • Track and analyse key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with overall business goals

  • Utilise CRM tools to manage and track all sales activities, ensuring effective pipeline management and data-driven decision-making

Key Skills and experience

  • Substantial experience in B2B sales, with a focus on energy storage, renewable energy, or industrial energy solutions

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the commercial and industrial sectors, with deep knowledge of large-scale battery storage or related energy products

  • Strong understanding of energy storage solutions and applications as well as energy markets, regulatory requirements, and the technical specifications of large-scale battery systems

  • Proven experience of creating and executing a successful sales strategy within relevant markets, as well as identifying areas for growth

  • Prior experience and knowledge of building and leading a sales team, including setting, managing and ensuring achievement of sales targets

  • Strong negotiation and closing skills

  • CRM proficiency and data analysis skills, with experience of driving disciplined CRM use

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

  • Relationship building and networking skills
